Like I said, I saw it reported as such several times back when the song came out (always as a rumor, mind)...and when asked both of them were very noncommittal.
That combined with the fact that I find it funny makes me choose to believe it. :beer:

I hate BEP cause they cost me a nights sleep when they played new zealand.
Well, kind of them anyway.
The venue (big ass circus tent) broke half an hour before doors, and we had to move the show to a different venue, which was half the size, ended up doing two shows to cover it all, and the second one started at gone 2am.
We got the truck back to the workshop at 10am, all the crew having missed all the calls, and us not having any contact with them and having to load the whole freaking lot out ourselves. (3 of us)
