The purpose of this thread of course is to shamelessly pimp my latest posting.

Emperor\'s Champion

I did a shiny black style armor on him. And kept the overall look very plain.

It\'s currently at 7.8 with no registered votes (mental note). So the perception is that because there are no registered votes it is either been voted on only by my friends/fanboys/haters... Or the registered voters have no opinion about it and have chosen to eternally curse me with a zero.

That was entirely meant tongue in cheek rather than whining foot in mouth.:twisted::cool:

Whatdya think? Bring it on I can take it (well, no, not really, but we won\'t get into that)

I like it. I gave an 8.5 The loin cloth looks a bit rough and the sword blade loks a bit funny.
It does take a while for registered votes to be shown as such as well, so you may have more registered votes than you think.

I agree with Dr E (is that a first for an Ozzy to agree with a Kiwi Oh well) The loin cloth des look rough. Still gave it a 9 (8.5 rounded up)

The register votes thingy does seems a bit funny.

The loincloth should have some freehand on it but it was kept simple because I was swindled into doing this as a freebie for a store. That and I didn\'t take pictures and correct the painting errors and then take pics over again as I usually do.

So this is all my mistakes come to light because I\'m too lazy to fix \'em (see above freebie rant:p)

Still... I\'m really quite happy with it even though it\'s \"just a space marine\". I\'ve always like this particular figure as it is so elegantly simple. It\'s one of the few marine that isn\'t covered in skulls or some other imperial paraphernalia.

Seriously though I really like the highlight to blue tonality, that works incredibly well.

Very impressive :) The loin cloth is a weak area, but the armour and OSL are really something :wow: Congrats on your recent win at Canada too!

Everyone has dissed the loin cloth, but no one has yet mentioned the base. It\'s gorgeous.

Oh, and this thread is a good example of the effectiveness of pimping your mini. Less than 12 hours after you posted this, your mini went from 7.8 to 8.7

Yah, I was going to mention the base, At first I genuinly thought it was sculpted...which is indeed a good thing :)
Love the armour, much prefer black shaded with blue tones to white. Sure, the loincloth might be a bit off (not by much at all) but an exellent job all the same :) 9 say I (8.5, Seems to be a running theme here somewhere :D )

aaar its you. you have some of the nicest painted minis iv see, youv got to be one of my favs. allways like to see your new work. on this one i really like the black armour, iv saved this model as a refrence cos of the black. in all love you sorry mean love your models. :redface:

lovely work really clean and crisp.
I\'m more o a fan of dirtied up battle hardened marines however I also respect a beautifully carried out paint job...
the base is pure genius...

Personally, I thought it was a rather pathetic looking figure. I mean really, any drunken sailor could have done just as well with crayola. :D

I gave it a 9.

Mostly because the blending is very well done and I think the feel of the mini is really well conveyed.

Now if only I could do as well with crayolas, that\'d be something to talk about:D:D:D
