amazing work for a test sculpt, and great inspiration too. the feet are definately too big, and the pants are tighter than the image, but its still reall solid.
id like to see it painted.

i can\'t say what hasn\'t been said, besides: what do you use as an armature? I find that wire isn\'t strong enough:(

ah wow, lots more comments, I didn\'t realise! Thanks for the advice everyone.

ABout the boots, yes yes I get the point haha, I\'ll try to reduce the size!

And the eyelids - I actually already added eyelids from a slightly earlier WIP, although it\'s hard to see in the photos - I think a lot of things will show up a lot more and will (hopefully!) look better once the mini is painted.

The sculpt is mainly super sculpey, with duro (greenstuff) also, as you can see in the first pic prior to the grey undercoat. And the armature was just wire - quite thick wire though, a bit thicker than a paper clip, so it was quite strong. The original armature was jsut the legs and body - I added the arms later, and sculpted the head separately.

And yes, for the painting I\'m going to try to stick with the colours of the original artwork I think.

As for contacting the artist - well, I tried to find a way to contact him, because I wanted to ask his permission to use his artwork - but his site doesn\'t seem to be operational...I did a bit of research, and it seems that he disappeared from the online community a few years ago - rumour has it that he\'s working for a big CGI company or something, so all his stuff is secret and copyrighted etc. But who knows!

i know this sounds realy obvious but, have you thought about getting people you know with items of clothes that you want to sculpt (leather jackets, worn boots etc) and taking pics of them.

it\'s a lot more accurate than going off a drawwing/painting.

just a thought mate :)

p.s.
the sculpt is cool man:cool:
