I never liked the whole authoritarian view of commissars. I know that\'s what they\'re THERE for, but I prefer a more \"Gaunt\" approach.
If he\'s whacking someone, I\'d rather have him offing a traitor guardsman or something.
I am liking the idea more though... Although I\'d need to hack and resculpt his hand

I thought of something yesterday on the way home. First thought was a baton, sort of like he was pointing out someone. But that would look a little \"Harry Potter\"ish, so it evolved into a mace.
So, what about a ceremonial mace? It\'d be a little functional (some nasty bits stuck to the end), but then you could dazzle it up a bit.
