Yep its overexposed.
It took a while yersterday to get the lighting rig put to a more even lighting balance and I\'ve taken all the Photos.
Just ran out of time last night so didn\'t get them uploaded, which I hope to tonight. (Sunday night Family phonecalls)

I toyed around in photoshop, got this:

A bit better I think. The reds are difficult to reconstruct, getting them bright and bold but not oversaturated. I can do editing on all images if necessary. I am young and... alone *sigh*

;)

No sincerely I can do some post-processing if you want. And I can do it reasonable fast too.. PM me Mike if you\'re interested.

I think I still prefer one of the origonal shots to be honest :D No offence Mike, looking at that one the size alone makes it look blobby..

I agree. Maybe it\'s better to use the users pictures if they are sufficent and maybe only magic-wand them onto the same background? Best picture should = most money.

I hope you don\'t get stressed by suggestions like these Mike. As there is no real timetable right now we don\'t need to stress ourselves up. And if I can help in any way, just ask.

We all appreciate the work you\'ve put in! :)

Problem with that though Sven is that not everybody managed to get a shot of thier figures before sending them or handing them to Mike on the day.
I know TBS was working on his right up to a few hours before leaving for the event as he stepped in at the last minute to help out and others put up a shot or two then made a few alterations before sending the figure to Mike so it will probably still leave Mike with a fair bit of work to do.

I just had a play with the shot of my officer that you had a go at last night and just reduced the size and it looked better but then I did take it down from 600 wide to 300 but it still has a bit of over exposure.

Don\'t panic over them Mike we that have painted them salute you...oops sorry been watching too many DVD\'s again :D honestly though just do them as and when you are ready and throw an update in now and then we all understand.

It was getting to the point with them that I was going give up on Digital and borrow a colleagues Spot Meter and set up my 35mm Camera to get decent pictures.
There\'s a surprising variance between the individual figures. In some cases the difference affected shutter speed by 1/4 to 1/8th of a second.
I\'m surmising that either the reflective index between GW and Vallejo paints are different colour temperatures and therefore throwing off the meter, or my halogen lamps are being affected by variances in the electricty supply.
Failing either of those I\'ll blame Aliens.

Blame the Aliens Mike you know it makes sense :D

It could of course be something to do with the different painting styles as well.

But what the hell blame the Aliens anyway.

Wow Mike, those are excellent! Thanks for taking all that time over the photos; it\'s really been worth it. I bet these are going to make a packet for charity when they\'re up :)

Any thoughts on which charity the cash is going to?

Nice work Mike, you even made mine look OK, which is an achievement in itself! I will now cease being a whiny biatch about this, at least for a short while anyhow. ;)
