It is quite smooth to paint with, and I used the black to cover my primer. Then, I found that there is not really any technique that I wouldn't recommend them for. (Although, I don't do much in the way of drybrushing, except for stone on HirstArts stuff. In which case it was fine.) They are made to paint onto paper without it wrinkling. I am working on putting together a list of equivalents to update this article with. (and when I do that, I will fix the links...sorry guys.) The other problem when I tried other craft paints is, the black came out almost charcoal as opposed to black, this brand does not do that. Like I said, their black is darker than GW's or Vallejo's. The only thing is they do not have metallic colors yet, but with the NMM craze, it isn't necessary. We'll just keep our fingers crossed.
