I actually received these a few days ago, but I was waiting on word back from toxc on what the figures were (more or less):
I\'m looking forwards to painting all of \'em, and I don\'t really know where I\'ll start first! Many thanks to
toxc for both the miniatures and a nice postcard of himself together with (I would assume) his wife (I\'m guessing its from their wedding or thereabouts) - it\'s nice to put a face with a name and they definitely look like a happy couple.
As to the figures:
I\'ve always wanted to paint a Rackham figure as they look like gorgeous sculpts with lots of fine detail - I just never quite got around to hunting \'em down and getting one to paint. Now I\'ve got no excuse!
The Oriental bo staff master (for lack of a better name) is a Reaper figure, I\'m told. A bit of a departure from stuff I normally paint, but the detail is quite good and there\'s a lot of room for freehand. Guess I need to brush up on my skin tones.
The rest I\'m told are WizKids resin figures, and a limited edition WizKids white metal sculpt - completely unfamiliar with working with resin and it\'s been literally over a decade and a half since I\'ve done outright D&D-esque miniatures, so I\'m really looking forwards to these. I really like all of the WizKids ones, especially the flesh golem/zombie figure and the skeleton - I\'ve always been a big fan of the undead and distorted, rotting figures - lots of room for creativity and use of color... that and they\'re just plain cool.
If anyone could clarify which figures these all are (with the exception of the Fianna, I think I\'ve translated
that much), I\'d really like to know for reference\'s sake. Ideally, if anyone could PM me with actual links to painted examples (especially the WizKids resins), I\'d really like to get an idea of what the intended color schemes and such are supposed to be so\'s I can do \'em justice.
Thanks again for the figures, toxc! These are all great!
