Article: Painting weathered metal

Well, I drybrushed metallics on my High Elf Spearman and Archer that I've painted, and the flecks didn't get everywhere, you just have to be careful about it...

This is two good methods but i think i've got another one that works out better, if applied correctly. You start with a basecoat of boltgun metal and then you water down some citadel dark angels green (heavily, like an ink) and you apply it on specific areas, not the whole armour, after that, you take some brown ink and a drop of varnish and wash all over the armor. Then you take citadel chainmail and paint like stripes over the armour. This worked out good for me even though i prefer NMM.
