Make sure the category isnt set to terrain.. if it is set it to all..its under the area where you vote.
I try my best to remain \"caught up\" with the voting so the algorithm doesn\'t effect me much, but I have noticed one odd side effect from all the changes. It has to do with the thumbnail that appears in the upper right after you\'ve voted on a mini. I use Firefox and have several tabs open at a time. I\'ve noticed now that the thumbnails don\'t necessarily come up in the proper tab and sometimes don\'t come up at all. Not that this is any big deal. Just something I\'ve noticed, kind of an oddity.

Can we have the old algorithm back please - it doesn\'t feel very random any more with the high scoring paint jobs showing so often and feels like it will really unbalance the number of votes they get even more than they normally would!

Maybe not go back to the way it was, but don\'t weight it so much towards the higher painters.
When you think about it the lower scoring painters could get the impression that they are not welcome with this current voting system. Don\'t get me wrong I don\'t believe that is the case; however it could seen that way.

I am thinking something with a weighting like this might work better:
50% - Under 100 votes
30% Score of 7.5+
20% Score of 5-7.5
50% - Under 100 votes
30% Score of 7.5+
20% Score of 5-7.5
You might not believe that, but I most certainly do, and the current biased display system ensures those pictures failing to meet community approval sink into the depths of the database, never to re-emerge. Meanwhile, we\'re forced to look at endless hordes of NMM-painted Wulfen.

Same here.
I\'ve been seeing a lot of 7-8 minis lately, but maybe that\'s because before I used to see 90% 3-6 minisMessage original : Ritual
And plenty of minis in the 5-6 realm even with more than 50 votes...

Hey Chern, since you are getting a lot of upgrades done recently, how about a half scale also? (Not for all the marks, just 7.5, 8.5, and 9.5).

I hear the vote twice to get a half rank a lot. It simply does not work statisticaly. It would only work when there were only two votes for the fig. As soon as more come through your votes are diluted.
I do agree though that changing now would be unfair to the new posts.

Not sure about this high ranking bias. I don\'t like the fact that pretty much no one is going to see my minis (which have never come close to the 8 mark). As well I was considering posting a bunch of really old minis that are cool due to the age and not the paint job, sure since they are new they will show up at first but then disapear.
I liked the one idea above with low ranking minis accounting for 20% of the 50%.

I was just bumping this up as I am curious if we are still using the 50/50 algorithim listed at the top of this discussion or if something else has been brought in.
