It\'s got a small chance of coming up, but it\'s now weighted towards a less random result.

Pluses: I\'ll never randomly see some blobby mess or basecoated space marine from 2002 again :)

Minuses: Nobody will ever vote on most of MY old minis again :(

Ooh, tough call on this one...

Very interesting....

Although, I do very little random voting anymore, I usually just pick someone and vote on their galleries...

I think the new algorythm it is a good thing...Keep voting interesting. Besides, if you keep voting, eventually you\'ll come to the blobby space marine, or NSA\'s old submissions...lol

At first I thought this was great, and it is true that we get to see a lot more nicely painted minis. However, I think I\'ve discovered a side effect. I think there are a lot of new pics that are over evaluated by their submitters. This morning, I saw fiew minis with a score less than 7 (and several, IMHO should have been in the 4-6 range).

I don\'t seee what this has to do with the new algorithm! ??? New minis (i.e. minis with less than 50 votes) are still favoured by the algorithm, and if they\'re overrated by the submitter it will soon be adjusted just like before. It\'s just the other part of the algorithm that has been changed to favour higher rated minis.

I think the vote count should be more like 60/70 to make sure the snipe filter thingybob has sorted things out.
And I also think the score cut off should be 7. There are some excellent minis between 7 and 8.
I always saw the quality jump from 7-8. 7 being not that flashy and 8 being superb. I think now things seem harsher it is more like 6-7.

Apart from that it sounds spot on

I definately like this change, it has me voting A LOT more recently (up from almost none) as I can see pretty pictures or help people reach their goal of 50 votes :)

Also sort of fun because I also have definately seen an increase in votes for my pieces over 8 lately, which is a nice perk as well :)

I\'m seeing WAY too many competition quality Wolfen these days. Can\'t stand em, won\'t vote on em. Rather annoying. I need a personal filter rule: NO Wolfen.

Sad thing is I\'m probably missing a lot of other minis that are scored lower but that I would much rather see...

I\'m actually getting some odd results, like getting the same mini repeatedly within a dozen votes. It gets a bit annoying to have to vote on the same Plague Marine for the third time within 5 minutes.

Actually Ive been seeing a wide varietry of miniaturs from score of 5.0 to 9.0, old and new. Ive seen so many new pices lately its great.

Ive also noted that im seeing less WIPs or unpainted minis which in my opinion dont belong in the voting.. just more stuff to clogg and slow things down. Are you deleteig these from the database?

Sorry dude. I just don\'t trust my impartiality when it comes to assessing a whole line of minis which I personally dislike. Safer that way...

@NSA
At least you don\'t have to see that many badly painted wolfen! :]

@dradjeel
If you\'re not logged in I doubt the system will keep track on which minis you\'ve already voted on...
