I want it but I\'m not going to any shows to get the chance to buy it! I\'ve got the illustration it\'s based on - planned to scratchbuild it but FW and that talented freak Egan beat me to it.

But the Ork simply isn\'t nicer.......:D

Gorgeous!! I\'ve been craving a Thunderbolt to paint for ages now, and this isn\'t making things easier. I might have to save up for one this summer...

Is it just me or does the Thunderbolt pilot have small feet?

Anyway that Ork is great too. Pretty huge, but really great. The hacked off parachute straps on his back are a nice touch. Some Grot probably pulled the cord and he was too lazy to pack it all up again ;)

As Dragonforgedesign, Green Stuff, ralfmetal, dragonsreacj, etc will say, I see the name forgeworld and I have to look....

I am disappointed..i was expecting maybe the Greater Demon of Tzeentch :D

Neither does a lot for me to be honest. Normally I get excited by any sort of Ork stuff, but I find this one is lacking in character. The Thunderbolt pilot, well I like the outfit, but there\'s something wrong with his face to me, particularly the eyes.

Not to hijack completely (OK, so I am!) but like I said the other day in the \'character in minis thread\', this little beauty from Freeman is more my style:

That\'s very nice Lono, but I think it\'s time you put your Freeman fetish (shared by many, MANY other miniature painters) away for now on concentrate on Forgeworld ;)

I like the pilot, but I think I see what you mean about the eyes, the rest of the face is alright, and the overall attention to detail is stupendously-delicously perfect.

Now stop your Joaquin Bashin\', ditch the Forgeworld Foolishness and embrace the superb, sumptuous, splendiforousness of the spanking, Spanish sculptor that even the most cynical swine has a secret (or not so secret) soft-spot for!

Onis Lair - Freeman is the CMON username of a sculptor who works for Andrea miniatures. This one isn\'t out quite yet, I got it from a WIP thread he did on it. You can buy lots of his stuff here.

Check Warlord Saga and Battle Series for lots of his fantasy stuff.

Oh, and having looked at the FW Ork again, he is growing on me a bit.

sorry but both get a mee... from me. they dont do it for me. i still like the squig rider and new troll from gw but i think i am the only one who thinks this. *shrugs* well gotta go... i plan on getting my spotter and drones posted tonight!!!!

@Vike - Ork technology is way behind human technology as far as miniaturization is concernted. They still have us beat on Red Paint though.
