Hy folx,

it has been a while since my last posting here or my last entry on CMON. But I was not deedless. ;) That is to say I had some work with my Golden Demon entrys for this year (2009) in germany. This is my entry in the category \"Duell\" and I am very happy to get a bronze demon for it. The competition was quite hard. :) So many gratulations to all other winners!

Bottom set of photos are better, the top has a blue glow around everything, I assume this is from cutting it out on PS (as you have deleted a bit of the plasma pistol.)

Really nice though, the chaos guy really looks like he has burst through the wall and is scanning around for new victims.

Congrats on the award.

Thanks for the tip matty! I updated the image, gave it a blue background and \"fixed\" the Plasmapistol. Hope it looks better now. :)

Is it too much for me to request...nay, DEMAND that you show us any WIP pics of that?

I am extremely curious to know how you built the scene. Don\'t get me wrong, the minis are super-fantastic, but I\'m just amazed with the little diorama.

What materials did you use?

Got some tips on technique?

yes I have some wip pictures (see below).
Most of the scene is from \"keramin\" (a type of casting compound like plaster, but much more stable and dryes quicker). It is cast in some scratch build forms out of plasticard and when dried the details are carved out with some modelling tools. You can see the development on the images. The rest is mainly from bitz and tiny modelling leftovers. ;)

Escellent, I was there and saw it in person (under very bad lighting though). I really like the composition of this piece, both the heretic commander and the elysian look excellent. I partikularly like the skin of the heretic and the plasma pistol chamber. Congratulation to the demon! Didn´t this also win FW best of show??

probably, it\'s a fairly standard historical technique as i understand it.

great work fella, and only a bronze! the silver and gold must have been amazing! congrats though

Brilliant! Great use of the all the space in the diorama, but balanced so as to be not too busy. I don\'t even know what that means, but it\'s a compliment!

really brilliant! As someone allready said, you really see that the chaos guy just burst in and is looking around. a well deserved demon. Is it your first?

That mutant is too cool. The highlighting and shading on the armor is perfect. Awesome work! Congrats on the trophy.
