Inbetween working on the Crow model I painted up this little chap that I picked up at Salute in April.
I found it to be a fun little mini to paint which is just as well as I have another 9 of his tribesmen to paint up.

It reminds me of the old pygmy pieces of yore, circa WD 100, when they had a special scenario set up for WHFRP or some such in the magazine. Lovely!

I remember those articles, there was a two part adventure for WHFRP. It coincided with the Pygmy army list a couple issues either before or after that. Issue 100 of WD was actually what got me into this hobby. I picked it up at the local Hobby store (there weren\'t game stores back then) because it was on sale. I was instantly drawn to all the painted minis and I very badly wanted this game \'Eavy Metal they were all for. I asked at the store but they had no idea what it was, it was \"some british game\". It wasn\'t until a year or so later on a trip to Toronto I found Warhamer Fantasy Battle 2nd edition Hardcover and found out that I was looking at minis for more then one game.

I don\'t know what\'s geekier, that I remember that, or the fact I can head home tonight, go in my basement, find the White Dwarf Book Shelf and pull out that issue, or the fact that I could get a group together and run it this weekend.
