Borak My First Hasslefree Mini

Hi all,

after owning a fair few Hasslefree minis for some time I thought I would finally take the plunge and paint one. I decided to have a stab at Borak the Orc, he is slightly larger than the other minis in the Hasslefree range saving the larger monsters and thought this would be a good starting point, to be honest the mini is now not far off being finished but I thought I would show the WPs that I have taken of it so far, I wanted to try something a little different than the usual green orc skin and went for a bluey/ green skin insted. I think this gives him a much colder look. So here are the pics thus far,

To my complete horror I did drop it today whilst painting but luck was with me and only a little damage was done to the mini which I have since now repaired. I am fairly happy with the look, the skintone is not quite what I wanted but still looks ok IMO. This has really got me in the mood for painting more of the HF Orc and Goblin range.

I like your choice of colours - the bluey/green skin look very cool! Also, the shading on the metals looks awesome.

Gotta love Hasslefree miniatures!!! They\'re one of the coolest mini makers around!!!

Looking good Tim! I quite like the skin, its strange to look at after looking at green goblins all the time but I think it works pretty well.

Looks sweet Tim! Maybe you could do some minute damage on the metal and/or other parts to give the mini more depth. Sebastian\'s latest batch of demon entries has inspired me and gotten me interested in his gallery. Maybe something like this one\'s left shoulder plate:

Looking very good mate. The skin didnt grab my attention at first, but the more I look at it, the more I like it.

It will be interesting to see how you finish him off.

Thanks for the replies guys, james that is an awesome mini and great effects. I may give that a try in the future but for now this one is done, though if I get a little spare time in the future I may add another highlight stage to the knees of the trousers.

I will be adding him to my gallery later.
