Can we get a feature moved or turned off?

When you reply to a comment, in the lower right there is a button that says "Reply to Thread"
If you click this button, your whole post is gone. It opens up a new reply window and your comments are none existent. Control Z, etc. does not seem to be able to bring it back.
Very frustrating and it serves no purpose other than to eat my posts.

Can we get that redundant button removed?

On one exceptionally late night I managed to hit this button 3 separate times on a thread which i responded with 3 or more Paragraphs... Quite unfortunate and had me laughing the last time I managed to do it.

Having it have the same function as the "active" reply button, a.k.a, having two functioning reply buttons when your reply window is open would suffice I think, that way no feature would be removed, the irritating part of it all would be gone and no matter which button you're used to pressing you'd still get what you're after... Both buttons open a quick reply window anyway so it does feel rather redundant having them open different windows.

Strictly speaking they do different things. Our default forum view is non-threaded, but if you switch to a threaded view, replying to a post will create a post "beneath" that post. Replying to the thread creates a reply to the first post. But I hear ya, since hardly anyone uses the threaded view I'll look into removing it from the template.
