Can you unfreak?

Just my mind wandering.

I Could delete every thread I ever started.
Then my post count would drop. It might even drop below freakdom.
Could I unfreak myself?
Could someone else unfreak me? (Mosch)

hmmm...

I\'ve wondered this before. Your count does go down as you delete posts, but I\'m not sure about the name change.

Can you delete threads that you have started?

An interesting question. If you can delete threads you\'ve started and therefore effect everyone who\'s posted to it, just think of the power that both Mosch and (whoever the heck it was that started the WA thread:rolleyes) hold in their hands

I haven\'t posted much in any of those threads. Maybe I would be the new über-freak if those threads were deleted... :]

I don\'t think deleting PYP and WA would make a huge difference...

Most of the regulars, who are still around, wandered away from the WA thread when it started to get silly. I remember looking at it recently and thinking...\"who are most of these guys?\". The PYP thread seems to have been visited by almost everyone once or twice, but I don\'t remember it being hogged for any great length of time.

Best way to unfreak yourself is open a new account:D

Well, I was about to make a smart aleck comment like \"no vince...for you it\'s just not possible.\"

Oh wait...I just did.

Once a freak, always a freak, I say. :D But from a technical standpoint, it\'s an interesting question.

So, you\'re saying it WAS NOT silly right at the start??

But, you are right. After both those threads began to get out of hand, most of the regulars moved onto more fertile grazing.

At least the PYP thread makes sense to visit now and again. Always new faces to laugh at...er I mean bond with.

I do belive that you could delete your own threads.

Yes, you can delete your own posts which lowers your overall post count. And you can delete entire threads if you were the one who posted the first message in it, by deleting that, you wipe the entire thread.

I know because a little while ago, I was in a depression and started deleting out my own posts, including some threads that I started. When I started, my post count was just over 300 and by the time I stopped I was in the 170\'s. So I\'m actually closer to Senior than I appear...

And just so you know, I\'m not doing that anymore, I got out of that depressive state thanks to the support of some good friends I\'ve made here (you know who you are!) Thanks, guys!:D

That is indeed what my original post said but I amended it as I felt it reflected unfairly on Dauber:innocent:

You\'ve got broad shoulders...

In fact , If I remember rightly from the PYP thread you share with me the tendency to general \'broadness\';)

(Besides we all know SV is the evil (broad) mastermind behind WA)

It\'s a bit neck and neck...

Freakinacage is on 979 and Zaphod is on 959, so I am guessing it\'s gonna be one of them two.

However, I would re-emphasise that this is not a race and artificially padding your post account with spurious \'noise\' is likely to irritate a large number of people on this site and will certainly win you no friends.

So that\'s the secret to your youthful good looks!

I said I could delete every thread I ever started because I knew that would wipe out not only my posts that started the thread, but every time I responded in my own threads.
I\'m pretty sure I have started a lot of threads, though none spectacularly successful.
I wonder if there\'s a way to see how many threads one originated???
