Hi there, just posted my version of Celestine. She got 2nd place at GenCon SoCal. This was my first major attempt at nnm. It was a blast to paint and a great learning experience all in one. Any suggestions or cc would be appreciated.:D

AMAZING non metal metallics. This piece is one of the few that has honestly made me look twice.

The roses are simply wonderful as well. Incredible depth there.

Everything is simple, understated and executed masterfully. Well done.

Very good. Quite similar to one that Margo did as far as the armour goes right?

At first I was going to question the fully gold cherubs, but seeing it with the back shot, the way you have painted the cabling makes them look like a permanent addition the the armour rather than plugged in living things, so now I like that!

The freehand on the back is good, but its style rather clashes with the elegance of Celestine herself. It works still if you take the back and front separately, but as a whole it slightly spoils the balance of the mini from me. Just a little niggle really though. As I say, the execution is really competent.

I spent a lot of time in the top 10 Celestine models on this site...just getting ideas and such. Margo definately inspired me as far a the armour color goes. Hers is lighter than mine but we are both definately in the teal/blue family. I think it is a great color especially for a female warrior! Margo, Alexi Z and Silphid (Boltman) were difinate inspirations on this one. I also listened to the new Angels and Airwaves album almost continuously during the painting of Celestine...but thats a different story!lol

I repainted the face about 3 times. So far no one has commented on it. Not sure if that is good or bad. Anyways, what do you think?

Thanks,

From what I can see here it is the weakest bit of the paint job. It looks a little less soft and delicate than I imagine a living saint\'s would. Some close ups would really help out though because at this range it just isn\'t that clear.

Don\'t do another repaint yet!!
