I\'m sorry to hear about your troubles Ritual, but very glad that your entry was finished.
On a side note, I think one of the most fun things about this competition for me is going through the entries and trying to guess who painted what from CMON. To see if I can recognize styles and technique. And I think Ritual, you\'re one I have a good shot at guessing, as you have one of the more distinct styles around this place.
We\'ll see if anyone can guess mine though

PS I\'d lose a caffene/coffee contest, I almost never touch the stuff.

I found it relly weird people never read the rules i found 2 pics of minis entering the chick challenge V and jason often come here to see minis so they they\'ll be dropped i think....
By the way, i only painted one entry gracefuly given free to me by Fenryll miniatures and she was unhealthy to paint, very fragile and very bad cast... and i planned to put sthing like 20h in it and only put 8-9 hours (with resculpting and glueing LOL) I\'m impatient to see the other entries, the ones of astonia for example

You folks are workaholics. I didn\'t time myself, but I\'d guess I put in a total of 15-16 hours on my 4 entries, and that only because my wife was out of town one Saturday during the contest.
Oh, and I\'m pretty sure you\'ll recognize one or two of mine (and no, there\'s no \"Left Talon of Female Roc\")

Awww, the poor Talon of Roc ain\'t never gonna get no lovin\'.
I stayed up way too late Sunday, and my photos are probably not what they should be, but I\'m pretty happy that I managed to get both my entries done. I was concerned I was being overambitious by trying for two, as I paint way too slowly, but I thought I should make a special effort for what might be the last one.

Thanks for your concern! It was quite a rewarding feeling to finish the mini after such intense work (at 4.30 in the morning :innocent: ). The photos probably could have been better, but at that point I was satisfied with decent pics. Let\'s see if you can spot mine! :] (There might be something that gives me away...)

Well now that you\'ve set out the challenge, I\'ll have to find yours Anders, and you even gave a little hint there. Time to re-review your gallery to find what little thing might be a give away.
I have a hint Anja gave me too, so I better find at least one or two of hers.
I *think* you won\'t need hints for mine, but we\'ll see.

I didn\'t do so well.
Not only is my stuff pretty mediocre, I am very much out of practice.
Had eleven entries planned, only managed to complete ten out of \'em. Number eleven is still partially in pieces on my desk. It\'s partially my fault for doing too much, and the manufacturers fault for being notorious in putting out hideously miscast, ill-fitting figures (yes they are long out of the metal mini biz). So my lighting effect one is not entered. *grumble*
But I did apologise profusely to Jason about not making it with the last figure.
Of course the top question on my mind is whether the Goddess Haley will enter this year. Followed closely by, who all the French participants are this year.

@SaxonAngel, I was just looking through your gallery here yesterday, I really really enjoy and admire your work. So we\'re going to see 10 new posts here on cmon from you after CC is over? *hopes*

Jason has a job and a real life. Let\'s give him a couple of days to add 500 images to his website, after categorising them all!! :wow:

I refuse to believe it. You\'re one of my favorite painters, SA, and your version of mediocre still beats my best work by a long shot. I\'d say you did well. and hey, quantity never hurt either
, I don\'t know how you pulled off 10 entries* but I\'m impressed. *actually I suspect \"hard work\" was involved, the main reason why I am such an un-prolific painter...
I am proud to say my two entries were e-mailed off on time, Jason was nice enough to send me a few comments about them in reply and everything

Oh the agony though!
The wait is always worth it. But it gives me grey hairs just waiting! He has an immense task infront of him. I hate to see the contest end forever but he does have a family and a life too.
But I still hate the waiting bit. Aaargh!
BTW, thanks for the comments, guys. Maybe I am my own worst critic. Though I stilll cringe at some of the tougher posted comments and the silly antics of the snipers. Bah! I just like to complain it seems!lol

I\'m a great admirer of your work as well Angela. I\'d be happy if I could paint half as well as you. I look forward to seeing your new stuff when Jason gets all those images posted. Like Eric I hope you\'ll post em up here as well. I was thinking that maybe we could all put some pics up in this thread after the contest if we didn\'t want to post the figures to our accounts. What say you all. Kind of like the WIP thread, but finished works instead....
