Unfortunately I didn\'t spot anyones, and didn\'t have time to vote, I think I\'ve had about 100 hours of work in the last week,

Hopefully all the entries will stay up through the weekend so I can actually look at them all before results are posted. But even without being able to participate as much as I would have liked, it was a ton of fun, thank you Jason.

Now to actually get the colors right to post to cmon on mine!

If Jason removes the pics before you had a chance to look drop me a note, I have all the pics stored on my PC, complete with the names of the painters and sorted for categories. I can send them to you via email if need be (although the complete package is ~33 Mb).

Anyone else notice a pattern? It really tells me a lot about what sort of style I like, when I voted for pieces by Inge Jensen 4 times. I also voted for Irene Turner 4 times (though one of those was the same one in 2 different categories) and I also voted for 3 by Angela Imrie.

Well, I went through my notebook, adding the names to all the minis I voted on, and without even trying, I ended up voting for Angela Imrie 6 times! I didn\'t even try to figure out artists as I looked, I just voted for what I liked. All other names on my list only appear once or twice.

Will you be my mentor, Angela?? :innocent:

counting my votes it seems that I haven\'t voted more than 3 times for (at/on ? ) a specific painter. The two painters with 3 votes from me are Angela and Rob Sakaluk.

In case anyone cares, I\'m David Bibby. The first two entries in Cheesecake are mine (#4 and #7) ...and at last, I can complain about the disaster that is the base on entry #7. The WS Realistic Water shrinks horribly and takes forever to set and Water Effects takes even longer to dry. Which is why my water looks crap and all sorta milky. It wasn\'t dry and I had to get photos to Jason...

Oh well, you live and learn. I\'ll get some more photos now that it\'s dry...

Well, I hope I didn\"t F@@k up here. I posted my CCV entry to my gallery last night, expecting it to take the usual 5 days to be approved and to my chagrin it was released last night. Looks like the mods are all caught up, good work Finn. Anyway, now that its up I\'m not going to take it down. I think Jason has said its OK based on the last comment on the CCV site, but it was an ambiguous statement.... Anyway, here she is in all her naked glory:

I spent more time on then the minii I think. I got the idea for the escaping waterfall when the damn that I had made from supersculpy to contain the Realistic Water sprung a leak and the RW ran down the base and all over my desk. When I went down to check on it the next morning my desk around the base looked like a glazed doughnut. lol
It was a pain to clean up, but it did provide the inspiration for the waterfall which I then made with Water Effects. First time using either product, they are both very cool.
Well, I hope you all like her, I look forward to your comments!

First off, if you post on Wednesday or Thursday you\'re likely to see them up right away. Everyone else posts over the weekend and Borg doesn\'t update on weekends so he comes in Monday with literally hundreds of pics to review. That\'s why it didn\'t take as long for you.

I\'m quite anxious to see all the results and comments as well. It was nice to see all the names ... that helped, but I need to see more!! BTW, I don\'t want anyone to think that I am nagging Jason here ... he has done an amazing amount of work on the contest and should get heaps and heaps of praise for putting this very cool thing together!!

Congratulations to all who entered ... as we\'ve all learned many times, it takes a fair amount of courage to post your stuff online and await the opinions of others.

You are right about the courage. Especialyl for new painters My wife posted her first serious paintjob (and best so far) in the contest as well

I am so proud!

As for posting the pics, I read his page, and proceeded to update my site with mine. I even tried reading between the lines of what he said, and still couldn\'t get \"please do not post them yet\" out of it. Once the names are up, it\'s a moot point really

Well I read the page and posted mine but then saw the thread from Dawn and removed them from cmon but left them on FoD.She basically said wait till the results are posted.I think its just a respect Jasons plans thing.Dont think theres any harm though now the names are out.

Well since Grumb\'s indescrection (for which Jason has given him a \"get out of a beating from Dawn card\"), I sent Jason an e-mail and he said that the comments and winners SHOULD be posted tonight. He\'s working his butt off so if it\'s not tonight it will be soon. Thanks for all your patience and respect everyone! I know he appreciates it!

yeah! my girlfriend had always expressed interest in trying painting, and after hearing my enthusiasm for the fun of the CC, decided to paint and enter her first ever miniature. I was damn impressed by the courage, as well as the quality of her effort for a first time.

my only worry is that she might not get too many comments amidst the bright and shiny entries out there. especially since her figure got put in the eye-catching fantasy category, when really I would have expected it to go in alternative genre.

Vince, If I listened to her this time, she\'d expect me to listen to her all the time and we can\'t have that now can we.

As everyone has said, now that the names are posted and the votes are all in, seems like there\'s little harm to be done.

But out of respect to Jason, and in an effort to avoid a beating when I get home, I will humbly remove my mini from CMON and repost it at a later date.... damn Borg and his efficiency...grumble, grumble.... lol
