Children In Need

Hi all

This thread is to advertise the project that I am starting up on my site World of Minis.
The idea is not a new but it has worked well in the past for various other sites, the idea is to paint a small army and auction it off for charity, the charity in this instance is Children In Need and I plan to have the army painted collected and auctioned off on e-bay with a view to having all this completed for the 07 event next year.
This is a long way off I know but that gives me a definate target to aim for and also plenty of time for people who are taking part to complete their tasks and get them to me.

Count me in for this one. Me and my wife run the youth group at our Church so we do this kind of thing all the time, except for this one is my line of expertise! God Bless!

I can\'t paint for toffee so can\'t help you at all in that respect. But I\'ll send Children in Need 2007 a donation of £2 for every figure that you end up with in the army that gets auctioned. :)

If your asking for painters then I will help. If your asking for comments then good on ya. If your asking for donations where do I send the cheque.

Thanks guys, Ogrebane you are most welcome as is anyone who wants to take part, Ian that is most kind thank you. I am putting up a list of updated participants on my site later and after I have studied the Codex I will list what I would hope to accomplish, some painters have already said what they would like to paint so the modles chosen will be listed against their names, but there is much room for expansion and there will be plenty to choose from.

Tim, I\'m a bit of ways away, so shipping might be more than my painting skills are worth if something has to go back & forth.

If I can get anything here to send there:
* a mini and paint it and sent to add to your army?
* supplies?
* a GW gift certificate maybe?

Thanks guys you are all welcome, painting skill is not going to be an issue, as long as you can paint a decent tabletop quality mini then you are good to join. Any problems with shipping then I am ok to help out a bit with that.
The more people that sign up the better the end product will be.
