Chris Moyles on fire

I like these made up titles :p
PS. For those who don\'t know - Chris Moyles is a fat, irritating talentless DJ on BBC radio 1.

Actually, this WIP is for my land speeder :p
Unfortunately, having bought this off eBay, already put together and undercoated, there are a few mould lines and areas like that :(

However, I\'ve tried to disguise as much as I could.

I\'ve gone for the same, dirtied style of my Rhino in my other thread.

Comment-a-roodles please.

bad ass! it all looks nice and dirty! Could you explain just how you got those kinda \'stones hitting my dash\' streaks?

I like it. You\'ve disguised the mould lines quite well. However, I would\'ve liked it better if the model was accurate to the tilte of the thread.

@Brapattack - First of all look at the edges and angles of whatever it is ur doing - the more perpendicular and hard-angled the edge, the more likely it is to get chipped.

All the scratches should also, ideally go in the same direction, so try to brush only in that way.

I did my scratches by first doing a few light drybrushes in black on the areas I wanted most chips, then I wont over every surface randomly with short streaks of slightly watered down black.

The darkest areas were then gone over with a stippling of boltgun, leaving the edges showing (Ideally, if possibly the lower edge to make it appear more 3D)

For lighter scratches I used watered down white, but I didn\'t do as many of those as I didn\'t like the effect so much.

The good thing about these streaks is that it also helps convery a sense of speed.

Have a look at Uberdark\'s Tau Piranha for a similar effect.

@Roger Bunting - Actually - so would I mate ;)

I like it how about putting some of that funky writing on the front just under the aquilla. Would look good with the style of the model maybe??? Good job :D

@Yetie... Good idea - I might just put some Calligraphy there...

Anyone think of a good name for it?
Preferably in Latin...

Fugit Mortis or something? (I\'m sure the grammar there is wrong lol)

Well, I don\'t know much Latin but GW uses bad grammar for theirs anyway.

Here\'s a link to some Latin stuff at Bolter&Chainsword:

The marines shortened it to yell while fighting. the actual motto is \"semper fidelis\". each branch has there own including the coast guard.
