White is a colour I realy didn\'t like doing but I finaly managed to get a method that works for me.
I start with either Ghostly or Space Wolf Grey and work up from there.
Oranges and Yellows are the colurs I will try to master next as I have an old Citadel Balrog to do and I also read Klute\'s tutorial on doing lava bases and want to mix the two together for my next project.

;) Blood Angels? is it that time of month:innocent:

green and earth tones are my favorites, but I\'ve been trying to push myself to use other colors, like pink, I dislike pink:mad:

Good luck! I\'m very curious to see the entries from this competition. With all talented Spanish painters, some of the French ones and a few from the UK, I expect a very high standard.

I sem to use red a lot on my minis, and a lot of browns. And amongst the colors I don\'t use much are light greens and purple.
And I completly agree with scorch brown beeing one of the most usfull color. along with bleached bone.

I have some ready mixed checkerboard paint here. And some premixed NMM-paint to severely cut down all the blending and theory you need to do it properly.

I do a lot of tans, browns, blacks, and greys. I\'ve been on this odd maroon kick lately., as well as a lot of Ivory-toned white. And I\'ve really done a lot of red haired models lately. Wierd trends.

I use Apple Barrel Craft paints with names like Chocolate, Caramel, Toffee, Stilton...

You know, stuff you\'d put on ice cream.

mmmmm stilton ice cream ...

I like all the colours, I actually love to have lots and lots (that is partly why I love Vallejo, 220 babies to collect!)

I try to use colors that I like for models that I plan to keep. I used the Alchemist of Dirz colors, purple, blue, turquoise, and green for my Eldrad that was my entry for toadstools two months ago. Many models will tell you what color to use. I\'m an utramarine, duh. I\'m an angel that got smart with a demon prince, now I am all bloody, etc. My necron army is red with gold, because they looked good in the codex. I also try to use colors that I am not good at to get better. But, that\'s just me.:bouncy:
