Well it\'s definately one of the better. Even I somehow see that some are doing what they.. have been doing before. Not that it matters to the achievment.. just an explanation why this one didn\'t WOW! me as much as others have. But overall the standard of paint is awesome. The dual piece by JMPN might be my favourite.

EDIT:
I also feel that why some interpreted it as the best ever is due to the judging. It seems more relaxed than in UK for example. Where I definately saw miniatures of this style.. and as well, one or two of the miniatures here didn\'t place in UKGD. I might be wrong though... but I still think the UKGD was the best one I\'ve seen so far. Just lacked Banshee and the french.. that\'s all :p (I feel that this case is slowly slipping out of my hands...lol)

it is noit me who has to tell it.. but in my opinion it was the best..i was in France, Germany and Spain and of those 3 maybe it was the most complete.. all my mates of teh spanish team tell me the same and they were in Uk, winning too. so i think they can compare.. but this is a silly question.. the mini of albert in uk is one of the most impressive that i habve seen in real in fantasy miniature world, nano\'s one too..and a lot of the rest of winners are too of my team..so i have seen the level. anyway it is a question of good taste.. but in my opnion.. until this year.. france was so much better than Uk, and that is why teh best uk painters went to france to take part of the contest.. and me and my team were in uk too too see or to participate and we have realized it too.

@Banshee: Yeah I agree it is a silly question. But that\'s what we do here mostly, discuss silly questions lol

At least we haven\'t started discussing what would win out of Gandalf and an AT-AT... ;)

And congratulations on your second sword! Awesome!

My fave piece has to go to the pic below. Anyone that can get a gold with undead miniatures (my fave race generally), deserves major props. So many good entries there too. I\'d hate to be a judge.

Some absolutely stunning stuff there. Definitely one of the most consistently high quality GDs across the board. Everything is superb.

I feel the Spanish are starting to steel the Frenchies thunder! :D
