Hey y´all!
Here is a little trick Raffaele Picca aka Picster from Massive Voodoo taught me yesterday.
I am working on Melvin by JMD and was not happy with the mini. It looked good, but something was wrong.
And then Raffa sent me a black and white image of a picture of my miniature that I had posted:
Everything was mid-tone grey. The individual areas had enough contrast of light and shadow, but all areas of the mini were the same brightness. Even the goggles - which are RED on a BLUE hat - had the same brightness.
Raffas recommendation was to choose one area and make it "dark" so that the areas have a contrasting effect.
Thats pretty much all there is to know
