Cookies! Just another pimping my mini thread

I\'m just pushing another mini.
This was one of my projects for Klute\'s \"Skin up with Klute\" class in the other forum. I was rather proud of her except for the boots.
If you have suggestions I\'d love to hear them.
I don\'t think the cow hide is terrible, just sort of falls flat. They are fur boots, but just brown fur seemed dull.
Of course maybe dull is best as the eye is drawn to certain other aspects of the mini.

Great mini. The freehand girl scout symbol is very good. I especially like the flesh though. And, thin mint girl scout cookies are amazing!

Okay, this pimping thing isn\'t getting me the votes. I thought it would be more effective.

I appreciate the comments, and if anyone has a suggestion about improving the boots I really would like to hear it.

as for the shoes, I agree they are by far the weekest part of this piece. To me, a main problem is that you use colors there that don\'t show up anywhere else on the model (red, black and white), so they stand out like a sore thumb, particularly because the sculpt of the boots seems poorer than the rest of the mini that\'s a bad plan. I would suggest colors to blend in with the rest, greens or browns mostly. Besides, she looks like a stylish girl, who would never wear black/white boots with a green outfit

Anyway, 2 boxes of Samoa and 2 of Thin Mint please!

I find that it\'s quite common that minis have poorly sculpted and/or cast feet even though the rest of the mini is good. This is particularly common on GW minis, but I\'ve also noticed it on Reaper and some (not many though) Rackham minis... When I used to predominantly paint GW minis I used to hate painting feet. Now, I don\'t mind it that much, unless I\'m painting a GW mini like I\'m currently doing!

As for the boots in question, I\'d follow Eric\'s advice. Even though you wanted something more exciting than plain brown boots I think the way you painted this mini it\'ll be difficult to find something else that would suit it, except for maybe green.

And I voted on it even before you started pimpin\' it!
