Hy,
this is my second entry for germans \"In Farbe 2007\" contest. This time in the category \"Fantasy Minis\". I already know some other minis in this category and it will be very hard for my little \"Crom\". ;)
The mini is painted in NMM / SENMM. I don\'t have much experience in NMM, but it\'s getting easier with every mini. ;) I had to start the sword 2 times because I set the shades in the wrong directions and so it looked really weird... :rolleyes:
I tried some blood splatter at the axe and at the bottom but it\'s hard to see on the picture. :(
The helmet of the defeated knight is painted in SENMM look. Hope you can recognize it. ;)

Another exquisitely painted mini from you - technically perfect. But (as with your sci-fi entry) it\'s cleanliness just spoils it a bit for my personal tastes. The leather/skin colour is good but unecessary on the boots (IMHO) which I think would look better darker. The blood on the axe and base is very well done and the SENMM effect works well too.

the colour of the skulls is too wrong, it is far too fleshy, no bone is that colour, no matter how \'fresh\' it is.

other than that great work

Man, it is fantastic but if i nitpicked it would be the skulls and how clean the figure is. Still, man what amazing work.

The SENMM on the helmet is pretty screwed... there is a rock right in it\'s reflection way but you didn\'t paint it there, same with the axe.... very un-realistic

(finally a 9.x rating... *lets celebrate* :D )

Thanks. Yes the skulls suck big time... :( I wanted some more shades on them and didn\'t want to paint them to bright. Now I got the opposite... Well, next time I know better. ;)

@Own3d
I don\'t think it would look realistic if I had \"painted\" the reflecting rock on the helmet or the axe. Also the surface of the helmet points toward the sky, not the base and the axe is not that glossy to react like a mirror... ;) Just my 2 cents.

i think he means that the side of the helmet facing the ground is darker than the side facing upwards. it looks a little odd to my eyes to. rest of it is lovely though (skulls aside) and the blending on the nmm is fantastic
