Ok this is the best picture I\'ve been able to take of my mini, and has you can see it\'s really not that good. So please help !!!!!!
If you wanna give me advice on the paintjob you\'re welcomed too

hmmmm the picture looks okay actually you got it nice and close so we can see the figure in its detail....

however lighting seems strong from behind the figure\'s pony tail.... it casts a strong shadow on the clothes... that might hide details or shading you have on the clothes.....

Also the strong lighting causes the mini to shine quite a bit... i\'d advice on milder, not so direct lighting and the use of matt varnish... it does make minis look better on the whole.

first off I\'d say the paintjob is clean and not \"crusty\" so its a good sign you are going in the rite direction.

Also you have done the base and mace this figure is carrying rather well.....

However, the blending on the clothes seems a little rough. Athough you have got the right parts shaded and highlighted, the colours are running into one another and the gradiant from dark to light is not distinct. So it looks like the mini has robes of one or only two rough colours....even though you might have spent some time shading it.

The line around the eye is neat and nice but it makes the eye too large and too prominant and the elongated pupil seems to make the mini\'s eye look less human.... more like slitty animal eyes....

otther than that ur skintones seem okay for a start. how many years have you been painting consistantly anyways?

Thanks for the comments, i see what you mean with the eye. And you\'re right about the robe it\'s really not well done, I just can\'t seem to do anything with sneakbite leather, there\'s somthing evile about that paint
I\'ve been painting for about a year and a half consistantly, did a bit of painting befor but finding CMON really got me started

hmmm yeah snakebite leather is one of those odd colours....

but surprisingly it can create quite a few interesting effects.....

for instance snakebite blended up to bleeched bone blened up to white = NMM gold....

you can also try blending snakebite with golden-yellow -> sunburst yellow... to get some kinda shiny yellow gold or just leather... depending on texture...

the thing about this colour is, you can afford to be bold with the layered or blended colours, because of its muddy tone you need to apply bolder shades to make the highlights stand upon it.
