OK - this will take a while to do as I\'ve just run out of black primer :(
There are also a few mods I\'m thinking of adding to this Sentinel, including adding an aquila to the front panel of the cabin, and possibly an underslung banner, like on a warhound titan...

But here is the base and feet - I don\'t know if you can see it all that well, but I have it striding over a shattered wall, with strewn rubble.

As a little detail, I decided to bend the toes where they went over (Don\'t know if you can see that so well)

Once I have added those details and got some more black primer I\'ll carry on - but it\'s nice to be doing something again!!! :D:D:D

yea - was planning to \"plaster\" the whole wall - and then crack it as appropriate - but I\'ll wedge a bit more in the join too :)

OK - As I still need to get some more Black primer, I thought I\'d get started on the base...

Here is the initial stonework - though I still need a few layers...

Back (Since taking this I have coloured the textured area of the broken wall)

Also - these shots were taken with my new camera - a HP photosmart M627.
The macro feature seems to focus a lot better than the old camera.

Thanks for the props so far peeps :)
However, I would like some tips/comments etc too! :D

In particular I would like some opinions and suggestions for possible urban camo schemes...

Here are two I tried out on a bit of random plastic, but not sure I like \'em... They\'re OK, but... SOMETHING doesn\'t look QUITE right...

Well, I added a bit more dirtying to the walls and started on the front foot, however, I feel it blends in a bit TOO well with the base, so I may change the main colour from my intended Codex grey to Shadow grey, and see what that looks like on the other toes...

I\'m still waiting for ANY suggestions on a camo theme too ... :p

Looking very good Dan. Aside from Jondalar\'s suggestions which I agree with, I think the outside Wall could benefit from a brown or terracotta hint for contrast. As for the camo pattern I really dont have any suggestions except to ggogle for them... Other than that really good.

So the wall (And it\'s constituent parts) could do with an all-over wash of a light browny colour... Hmm yeah - I can see that.

However, I don\'t have a terracotta colour, so what about Tanned flesh or Snakebite leather (Very light wash obviously)... This should also disguise the green stains (Which really aren\'t that bright and obvious IRL)

I have decided to base the camo shadow grey after all as this is JUST that bit different from the base to stand out but still look camouflaged.

As for the pattern itself... How about something like:

Blue%20urban.jpg

Looks like a base of shadow, overlaid with 3:1 Shadow/SW grey then
1:1 ShadowSW grey then
Black and finally SW grey.

Started on one the legs as there really isn\'t enough room on the feet/toes to try any camouflage.

I decided to go over the entire surface with metallic first so that as I applied the base coat, I could happily scratch and rub some of the base coat away, giving a weathered look and I felt it would look more realistic than the usual method of doing black and overlaying with metallic.

Unfortunately, due to lighting conditions I\'m not sure you can really see this in the photos, but I think it looks quite effective.

Also - I am very happy with Shadow grey as the base colour, and I will start doing the camouflage in the next set of pics.

here are some patterns:
camobandanas.jpg

i know some of them are inappropriate but you can always use the pattern but change the colours

You see how you have a third colour, use that as you have, but twist the way it sits on the first two, so its not an outline directly on top of the first two.

Not that that makes any sense what so ever.

If you think about the function of camo, its not just to alter the color to blend, but to break up shapes. One of the better patterns that does this (other than the new fangled digi-camo) is the old desert \"chocolate chip\" pattern. Thus, (brace yourselves here comes the point) you may want to use a third option color as a single sided \"shadow\". If you can find some of the patterns they use on concept cars so other companies that are spying on the test tracks have a hard time making out the car, it may work here. Just a thought.
