Death Korp Of Krieg General

Hi there,

this is my first Forgeworld mini, a Death Korp Of Krieg General.
I know many would paint Death Korp soldiers with True Metal, but I decided, a general should have shiny metals so I chose NMM instead ob Tru Metal.
I didn\'t expect Forgeworld minis THIS filigree! The details (f.e. the medals) are incredible tiny, but it was fun to paint anyhow.

The base is sculptet by \"Pinselknecht\", a friend of mine who sculpts and sells resin bases. Take a look at his shop, he has some incredible bases and ships worldwide:

However the base for the general is a unicum and not in his shop. Don\'t search for it!

So I hope you like the general, I think it\'s my best work till now...

Absolutely outstanding work sir.

I saw this last night just as I was about to shut down and go to bed, my jaw nearly went through thte floor boards.

It\'s a superb piece of work and I know someone who will be buying a copy of that figure.

(You firends website needs some work doing on it. If you go to it and click on the English language tab you can end up with a serious amount of pop-ups of the same page loading. Hung my machine twice.)

I will hopefully be getting a set of these at GD if I get enough money. I have the other command set and they were great.
I will be surely looking at this when I get mini painted.

Expensive but worth it, I have the new set and all the minis are excellent though the general is the best of the bunch. That is one hell of a piece of painting, fantastic job there the pictures don\'t show the true scale as they make it look alot larger than it actually is.

Thanks for the great feedback!
What really impressed me were the exact details and the perfect edges. Everything was well placed and no detail \"merged\" into the background.
Yes the FW products are a bit expecive but I could get my hands on some miniatures on the german Gamesday, so no extra shipping costs. I think the whole squad cost me about 40 euro.
