Did ya miss me?

Or perhaps nobody I knew is still around? I'm only just peeking in here timidly.

I have been out of painting and the community for a few years.
Due to life's ever changing fortunes I have had to move to Florida.
I took up part time low-paid work at Lowe's, studied for the Florida bar, passed it, got my FL license and did some job hunting.
It also meant my housing has been of uncertain reliability for a while and my stuff has been in storage.
Well I have a good job now at a law firm (hope I can keep it). I still work weekends at Lowe's for the benefits. But I recently bought a house and moved in and have been getting it coordinated for living in. That includes setting up the "office" with my work station and today, finally, unpacking my paints.

I will have to see how many have survived the long term of storage. I'm suspicious of the Armoury stuff and maybe a few others. Hopefully they will reconstitute without too much trouble - look out for my next "paint-shaker" video: I've found something better (though a wee more dangerous) than strapping them to my palm sander.

So, if any of my old friends are still here, I'm sorry for my long silence and I hope to chat with you again. I look forward to learning what the latest and greatest technique is. Do people still do NMM and put floor polish in their paint?

Welcome back, let me be the first to say NMM is dead and TMM is the one true path :p

There's a few old-timers still here and a number of those who disappeared have re-surfaced recently. I have also had some bumps on the road and have been gone from here for a while. Welcome back! :beerwave:

I never put floor polish in my paints to begin with. Doesn't go well with brush-licking. And if you wonder what TMM is... it's just plain old-fashioned metallic paint with a new fancy name. :eyeroll!:

I hope you get going with your painting soon, without too much frustration. I was quite surprised to realize how much you lost after just a couple of years away from the brushes.

Blimey , I slip out for a few minutes , and there's all these people on the come back . Actually I may have slipped out for eight years , I can't even access my alter ego's account , but I could remember the password to this one . I've never stopped trying to paint , but I've stopped trying to get better or faster.

Vince am I remembering right that it was you who did the epic scale space hulk ? Glad to see you back , I believe airbrushes are mainstream nowadays too.

Yes, that epic space-hulk game is my top rated mini I think (not that I care about ratings anymore).
I picked up an airbrush the other day at a garage sale. I'm keeping my eye open for a compressor now. How do you airbrush so small though?

You see a painter can't die until he, or she has painted every last figure!
Welocome back Vince, you'll be getting mixed up with supervice in no time once again.
