Dilema

Ok I just took some picture of MY CMON contest entry and quant deide wch is best, so I\'d be grateful If sombody could help me on this. Here are the two pics:

Well, all highlighting is kind of lost in the first one. But the second is a bit out of focus. So i\'d go with the second one.

i will choose the second but with a bit Photoshop to \"clean it\"

try adding a second light when taking a picture, because both of them look pretty dark...

Lose the shadow...

And put a white reflector behind so you lose that distracting shadow

Maybe try taking the pic in diffuse natural light if you have no lighting rig, because to be honest both pics leave a lot to be desired... I\'m sure they do your work no justice.

And if you\'re using flash (which from the shadow it looks like you may be) please turn it off.

Try using a fluorescent tube light. Also adjust the white balance on your camera, to make it lighter. It will wash out the background, but thats not what you\'re interested in.

Well I guess I still need to play around with that camera, because most of the advice given whre already done ( no flash, two lights). I\'ll have to try a light reflector. I also need to see if puting baking paper in front to difuse the light helps. Thanks for allt he advice, it\'s great to be able to get some feedback

Ok took a new picture of the mini I think it\'s a lot better then the ones before.

I think it looks much better...

...especially without that harsh shadow. But the question is..Do you prefer it?

Can\'t see the old pics but the new looks good. One comment though. The horse has the wrong kind of eye. You almost never see the white of a horse\'s eye.

Have to agree with Vincegamer, if you are on a horses back and you see the whites of its eyes you are in deep crap...
