it is? personally i think i paint terrible after just 2-3 weeks of non-brushing ;(

nice violets! now, much more contrast needed to add atmosphere, another highlight or three at the brightest points would do the trick

Purple is such a great colour, don't be afraid to pump up those highlights. So, good start! And welcome back to painting.

Alot like riding a bike for sure, going to bump up the highlights tonight and start on the armor.

Once I figure out this new camera Ill post an update and some of my older work too.

+1 to NSA's comment. Push those highlights further! The shadows are perfect as they are. Also, more highlights will differentiate the cloak and skirt more.
