East TN Sale: Buy 1 Get 1 Free Minis and More

After seeing a post on Board Game Geek, I figured maybe there are folks in the mini community who might also want to hear about this.

I work in a Knoxville, Tennessee game store called Gameboard. There are actually two Knoxville stores, one in the West Town Mall, the other in Knoxville Center/East Town Mall. There is a third store in Chattanooga. The Gameboard stores occasionally hold a \'Buy One, Get One Free\' sale, and the West Town Mall and Chattanooga locations are having one now, until May 7th. During the sale, you can buy one item and get another of equal or lower price free. This is everything in the store, except Magic: The Gathering cards.

Everything in the store includes some stuff of interest to mini painting folks. We carry a pretty huge selection of Reaper minis, including a large number of the out-of-production ones. (For Reaper, the only line we no longer carry is the CAV minis.) Ditto a huge selection of Battletech minis, and just about all of the Warmachine and Iron Kingdoms minis. Also a decent selection of Iron Wind Metals/Ral Partha, and a few odds and sods. We have painting supplies, including glues, files, finishes, Reaper Learn to Paint kits, and brushes, as well as a fair number of Woodland Scenic products for bases. Paint-wise we\'ve got the Reaper Pro Paints and Reaper Master Series (and a few enamels for model kits.) We no longer carry Confrontation minis, they tried them for a year and practically none of them sold (even during buy one get one free sales), so they gave it up.

If anyone is interested in the sale and needs more info, just let me know.

Wren, if an international order can be worked, I\'m game! There\'s some Reaper stuff that I\'d really like to get, along with some Iron Winds/Ral Partha minis (the \"dwarf golems\" shown othe the Frothers\' site\'s \"Amazing Automatons\" feature, link here), maybe some other things.

Please let me know if international is workable, I can pay Visa or Paypal. Thanks for the tip, in any case!:D

I\'m a lot to handle, so that\'s probably a wise choice you\'re making there, airhead. ;)

I\'m afraid the Gameboard stores are purely brick and mortar, walk-in locations. I tried to be specific about location in the title and message, so I\'m sorry if I got anyone\'s hopes up about Internet orders. :( I was hoping maybe we had some forum lurkers who live in the region, or have relatives/friends here. One of the guys on BGG got his mom to come in and buy some games for him. (BTW, if anyone likes board/card games at all, Board Game Geek is an invaluable resource of reviews, house rules, previews and general gamey goodness.)

There is a store that\'s both brick and mortar and does internet sales in East TN. It\'s called Game Depot USA, and is located in the outlet malls in Pigeon Forge. So it offers things at discount both in person and online, but I don\'t know if they ever do anything on the level of the BOGO discount sale.

Airhead, you\'re so fast...lol

Wren, looks like airhead\'s got dibs on you, and, unless a lurker pops up the internet order\'s out, I guess I\'m out of luck...:(:D

I\'ll check out the link....:D
