Ebay Still Stickin\' it to the Little Guy

I guess moves like this don\'t directly impact sellers of more unusual items like minis, but it does continue to erode the culture of peer to peer sales that Ebay started with by raising expectations that Ebay sellers should act like commerical retailers in terms of shipping prices and times, return policies etc.

Diferent recent changes then these are hurting even more. Things like the rediculous new feedback system, the fact that neutrals now count as negatives, the fact buyers can\'t get negative feedback, the fact that the fee discounts are all based on keeping 100% of the people happy when there is nothing to keep any of them accountable. It\'s rediculous. I now only use eBay to buy and have turned to things like Kijiji and cheapcycle to sell.

I tried using wargames market but there is just not much going on there - few sellers and maybe 1/5 the views per item as Ebay. I have sold a few items there, but I don\'t know why more people won\'t leave Ebay - wargames market is free listing (with small fees for some features) and no final value fee. I have been forced to go back to Ebay simply because that\'s where the buyers are.

As mentioned in another thread. I recommend Bartertown. It has a decent user base and (so long as you follow rules like lowest rating sends first) you shouldn\'t have any problems.

Bartertown

Out of interest; What are the new rules laid down by E-Bay?
