Aye, although I really wanted to get some more static grass that colour. GW only do that green and a dark brown \"burnt\" colour.

Anyone know who does...?
I was sure Annocetti\'s (sp?) site did, but I cant remember the address and I forgot to bookmark it :/

On link comming up DaN - Antenocetti\'s Workshop

Cheers for the links guys, but I\'ve got fed up of this wip now lol
I\'m not ENTIRELY sure it\'s completely finished, but I\'m gonna give it a rest for now.

And, as I wanted to get it done quickly, I went for the option of simply painting those areas of static grass.

So here it is at the moment
Plant-2.jpg

The light areas of tall grass don\'t appear that WHITE IRL, I think that\'s because of the flash.

Dan, the only thing I\'d add is blackline the concrete at about 20\' squares. Throw some of the flock along the blackline to simulate grass growing out of the joints.

Try a model railroad shop for some more static grasses. You get about a liter for about the same price as a mini bag of GW stuff. and in 20 colors. Woodland Scenics or NOC (I think they are the same company, just EU vs. US)

most terrain (not certain about GW games) is laid out in 1\"=5\' so we\'re talking 4\" grids. (100 mm +/-)

Clix games uses 1.5\"=5\'
so they\'d be at 6\" grids
(Take that back - not sure about the battletech or halo clix)

All I know is that concrete will crack on it\'s own at about 15 to 20 foot centers unless you control it by sawing joints. (the saw marks don\'t stop the cracking, they just ask the concrete to crack there so it looks better).

Well, tbh I dunno if I can be arsed :D lol
I think it\'s pretty much finished otherwise.

Any opinions about it?

I plan on protecting the more fragile parts (The fence) with a kind of splint, and some other ideas...

If anyone\'s interested I\'ll show the PACKING on the WIP too - I don\'t think I\'ve seen that done before.

Here\'s how I packed the thing in preparation for it going on eBay...

PlantPack1.jpg

First I hunted for ages to find a big enough box to fit it!

PlantPack2.jpg

Then I had to check that it would fit inside, and fortunately it JUST fitted snugly!

PlantPack3.jpg

As can be seen here :p

PlantPack4.jpg

The main challenge was protecting the fragile fence, so I decided to make a \"Bridge\" from polystyrene to go straight over it

PlantPack5.jpg

As they were near the edge of the base, I secured them on one side with tape

PlantPack6.jpg

I did each side - using small piece of the polystyrene to go over the points of the fence posts

PlantPack7.jpg

I then taped together several sheets of stiff card to go between them, cutting a hole to allow the fan part to stick out

PlantPack8.jpg

And then secured the card across the whole piece
