I\'m looking for an engine like you would see on those hotrod cars - all valves and air intakes and things...

Like <searches google for a picture...>

Cheers Shawn - but that guy ships to USA only... And I\'m not sure what sort of scale they are :)

I\'d like em somewhere between 1:32 - 1:48

try searching Deuce Coupe or NHRA, Dragsters (be careful searching for Blowers or Blown) :D

I take it you\'re looking for a model car kit with one in plastic? Most hot rod car kits are 1:24/1:25 in scale. Hot Wheels/Matchbox cars would be way too small for 28mm scale. Just a guess at what you use would be (Speed Freeks?)

Ebay should have a ton of these available, I would guess. Other search terms (safer ones, Airhead
:D) would be superstock, supercharger, dragsters (nice engine details) and of course \"hot rod\".

Now this is assuming you\'re looking for models and not just pictures!:D

Like this?

Well... Let\'s just say it\'ll likely be an Orky-type conversion yes. :D

Lots of pipes and fanbelts and gizmoes :D

a company called Johann sells a box set of just engines and stuff.. its what your looking for. Its normal model car scale.. 1:25th I think.

Ive got a small kit here in front of me that made by Revell/Monogram thats a 1:25th scale hit rod engine complete with all sorts of pipes and widgets..but all chromed. I figure Ill soak it in Castrols Super clean to clean off the chrome to bear plastic..its got Orky plans for it though ;)

Think I might have something in 1/35 from my days of that scale military modelling, maybe with enough rummaging through my bits box I\'ll be able to find enough odds and ends to make a fair \'example\'

I\'m pretty sure Netmerchants have a conversion kit for a Tank which has some kind of overblown airintake on it.
