Who\'s been watching?

This is probably the first time that I\'ve followed almost every game, it\'s been a blast so far.

I\'m Canadian so there isn\'t much that I can be biased about, but I\'m rooting for France (Mom\'s side of the family!), Austria (close enough to Hungary lol, and Spain (interested to see how expo will be if Spain wins it, eh?).

I would rather watch the grass grow or paint dry than watch 22 over rated over paid prema donnas try and get acting degrees for doing the job they are paid for.

Hmm, well I guess you won\'t be pleased at France\'s defeat today. They have to win their last group game.

Spain usually flatter to deceive but there\'s always the \"this time they will do it\".

Austria lost both their games so far so they\'re out. they only have the game vs. Germany to salvage something from the tournament.

Im really enjoying it so far.

Holland have really suprised me, but their football is great. Beautiful flowing moves and lethal finishing.

Snieder is an amazing player.

Ps im going for Poland... doh!

Looks like France are heading out! Holland are on fire in that group. How Henry didnt have a bag full for France tonight i dont know. The Dutch look soft defensively but great going forward. I still fancy Germany though...stuttering at the moment but you can never write them off. We shall see...

Hey if you\'re referring to the many \"injuries\" in each game, I\'m totally with you. Doesn\'t make the game any less enjoyable for me, and most of the time the whiners get ignored.

I\'m stunned by the Dutch right now.. can anyone stop them??

That\'s a shame about Austria Roger, I had thought they still had a chance :(

Hopes are with Spain.

To quote you Martyn: \"Oi that\'s my line go get your own\". :D

It\'s all part of the entertainment. There\'s nowt better than football...

The Dutch are playing like Dutch teams of yesteryear. I\'d love to see them win.

It\'s spain all the way for me, Torres and Villa up front will be unstopable, I just hope the manager keeps on playing them. I don\'t trust that manager, I think he might be Spains downfall, we\'ll see which team he picks today.

I\'ve been so impressed will holland, with spain they always underachieving in big tournements so hopefully they will make one hell of a semi-final!!

By the way, how :cussing: stupid is the knock out system this year, I can\'t believe they\'ve done that! another case of fixing something that doesn\'t need to be fixed!!

I\'ve only watched a bit of soccer in the past, but watching the games the last week or so has been awesome. Being unemployed is not without its advantages :D

The Nether Regions have been amazing to watch, lots of fun. Germany\'s my usual favorite, so hopefully they\'ll get their act together and live up to the potential.

Looks like lots of upsets in the making, if both France and Italy get knocked out of Group C then I\'m guessing there\'s gonna be a lot of pissed off fans :D

I\'m currently right in the middle of all that crazyness. In the hot bowls of Vienna/ Austria. lol

I\'m not very interested in the games, but rather in the fact that fans stay calm and don\'t beat eachother. If they do I got lot of work to do. :cussing:

After first day already 3 fans checked in at intensive care for fighting and knife stabbing. They are gonna stay here and perhaps watch on TV (if not sedated)...

So my look at it from the peacefulness of fans:
I\'d like to see Sweden win, there are only good statements of the Swedish fans who watched game in Salzburg. Hollandfans are also really nice guys, so hopefully finals will be: Holland:Sweden. Don\'t know if thats possible.

On the other side I hope Austria will not win (which is very unlikely anyway), I can\'t stand all the news about soccer already and if they win they will not stop for years...

Flame on:  Finally, personal flaming statement: I hope Italy gets kicked out in shame. They just had luck at WC and are not worth having the title. In interviews with players and trainer they seem like the most arrogant team ever...They should know there place!!
 Flame off!

I\'m have nothing against Italians or Italy, but plz pull your team down to earth

I have just been loving that football isn\'t being rammed down my throat 24/7 this year.

It\'s like everyone has woken up and seen there are other sports in the world.

I\'m not against football as such but I do think the only reason it\'s so popular is that it only requires 4 rolled up jumpers one ball and 22 people to chase it around a patch of dirt... not exactly hard to start up.

On this side of the globe, the 1st match is 11:xx pm and the 2nd is at 2:xx am. My body just couldn\'t take this kind of abuse anymore :)
Did occasionally watch the 1st match though. Last were Czech v. Port. and Ita. vs Romania.

On side note, France lost part of its appeal after Zidane (sp) retired.

Zidane was amazing indeed, one of the best ever!! It\'s a shame henry has not played as well as he did at Arsenal, would have had alot more of an impact on this tourny, he is one of those players that when he plays the team plays well.

Jike Ichi - I\'m sorry to heart about those few idiots that make the game so violent, I hope it doesn\'t get down too much :)

Come on the Spain!!! :drunk:

Oh, Henry sure can play well in the regular league matches. He just can\'t play
bigger matches, ie. Champion League, national matches, etc.
