Exorcists project log

Howdy.

So I am working up some projects for this upcoming year and I would like ya\'lls input/feedback.

First up is a unit of Exorcists Space Marines I had hoped to finish in time for last years Golden Demon, but time was not my friend.

My intention was to create a unit of world weary marines that had seen years and years of war.

I went with no helmets so I could do some older faces. Hence all of the models have longer hair, moustaches and varying degrees of baldness.

The Exorcists are suppossed to be the predassessors to the Grey Knights so I wanted them to look kinda like a cross between the two.

The models have had some paint on them already, but I am not pleased with how they turned out so they will be cleaned up and repainted.

Anyhoo, here are the pics of the conversions.

These are looking good so far. I only have a problem with image #8 and it\'s not really anything that significant. The plastic hand where it connects to the metal part of the figure seems a bit elongated. Try cutting away at it just a tiny bit to make it look more realistic. Great job so far though. :)

Thanks all.

I went back and looked at the figure and his arm is pretty spot on, proportionwise, it may just be the angles of the photo.

But even so, one of the things I like about it is it makes him look like he is leaning in one direction. I like the dynamics of it.

I am hopeful this weekend I can make some real progress with the painting. These models are already primed and some have paint on then as well, but I am not hapyy with how the red has turned out so now it is time to try something different.
