Free Comic Book Day 2008 is tomorrow - May 3! If comics are your thing, hit your local nerd shack and show the love. It\'s a good way to be exposed to some different stuff... and maybe even pick up a free HeroClix figure if past years are any indication.

As for US/Canada, no clue. Probably.... you guys can\'t complain in the UK though becuase you have those really cool subscription super hero mini dealies that we can\'t get over here (as mentioned in another thread).

Unfortunately my hometown comic books stores mostly suck, and only one is supporting it. The other stores think it\'s a rip off for them as they have to buy these free comics. Doesn\'t seem to matter to them it\'s great advertising, gets new people into comics, gets old people back (Free comic book day number one did that for me), and get people in their stores. Usually I try to get out of town for FCB hit London or Toronto unfortunately FCB hit the week before my vacation. Oh well. At least our FLGS started selling comics and does support FCB.

Actually FCB always coincides with a movie release. It\'s part of the marketing of the whole thing. The first annual was the day Spiderman 1 was released. Others were when the other Spidey movies came out and I think it was X-Men III. It\'s no coincidence that Iron Man came out at the same time.
