OK, hope I don\'t break any rules doing this :rolleyes:

This is the GD UK 06 countdown thread. Not to replace the other GD UK thread, but a different one entirely :D

Current situations:

*MAIN MEET UP at the Golden Demon repair table at approx. 11:30

*SQUAD GET TOGETHER at the Golden Demon repair table at approx. 11:00

*Get together minis are going swimmingly, despite my presence on the thread :rolleyes:

I thought it would be useful to have a provisional list of forum regulars who are going to meet up, with CMoN names and real :)

Not everyone might meet up (I\'m sure some won\'t want to, ask if you would like your name to be removed), and also I\'m sure there are many others from CMoN who have or have not made an appearance on the forums... the above are just the ones I\'m pretty sure sure going to meet up. That\'s a heck of a lot of folks up there :D

And remember: We ain\'t wearing no stinkin\' badges.

Additional info: Spanish Team are all coming, along with Albert Moretó Font\'s younger brother Francesc. Beware :D

Well you can take me off the list. There\'s no way I\'ll be recovered enough to attend. So, I\'ll be spending the day on coolmini. I may just have something to show off on the day... :D

So I\'m travelling alone...

Is anyone going to bring paints for repair work? I will bring some but I can\'t bring all, which I really should because of my very extensive recipes... ;)

Yay! I\'m on the list! If camo clothing was alowed, we should all wear some, so we would all look like an army division of CMONers! lol

Edit - Even if you aren\'t better in time for Games Day, I hope you recover quickly any who, SJB.

Whats IMPORTANT !!!!

This is my 4th year? at G.D. My first year I was all alone (AAAAGGGHHHH), and after 2 hours there I was saying to myself ,\"never again!\"The show was unlike any of the M.M. shows I have been to.
The endless sea of youth & the hoards of the great unwashed got to me,until I ran into a few guys from the M.M. world,meeting people turned the tide.The last couple of years have improved greatly.
Last year was super,I met many of the CMON crowd and DRAGONSREACH encouraged me to get on the CMON site.I spent the day wandering around with ORB and had a real laugh.All this in spite of the fact it was my worst year so far in terms of results at the competition.
So whats the morale of this long-winded saga? Simply this ,its always nice to win BUT its meeting people and making friends that really makes the day :beer:.
I will probably have the worst year ever ( to many radical minis) but Iam REALLY looking forward to seeing all the Faces behind the silly names and meeting up with all you guys! Thanks D/R & ORB for encouraging me to join the CMON crowd!!!!!:beer::beer::beer:

I\'ve had my fair share of boring years at GD. It\'s been better this last few years though since I\'ve been more active online as there\'s been many more people to chat with.

In the early days it was quite depressing when I left with nothing (due to kme having won two golds at my first attempt and results getting worse each year as the comp got more fierce).

But it\'s been better in later years. 2004 was one of my best experiences at GD and I didn\'t win anything that year (twas the year of my Ultramarine Termy).

Next year should be fun. It\'s my tenth anniversary of attending and will also be my tenth GD (as I\'m missing this year). Will have to do something special. I\'m off to a good start though as I have my duel from this year to finish up...

Oh, and as for my health I am getting much better. Just not better enough for the 600 mile round trip with a convention in the middle...

Tooshy dislikes me anyway, so it doesn\'t matter. It was more like 12 hours :D

I Have been checking out the list , the Anglo/Saxons seem to be ruling the roost at the moment,Brothers that aint right! Come on boys & gals.... we want to see Gauls , Celtiberians, Gemanics,Nordics ,Scythians,Latins,Greeks, Macedonians,Slavs, Arabs,Persians, Asians,Orientals,Americans and even the odd Alien would be quite a talking point!lol.
Keep adding to the list friends, we dont want an English tea-party we want a GATHERING OF THE NATIONS !!!:beer: :beer: :D.Let CMON do want polititians & the U.N. cant. GOD bless ...........VINCENTI :D

As I can\'t speak swedish to Sebastian this year I will probably find Anja just to be able to.. :)

@Razza: Last year the EM team was a bit hard to find.. I did find you in the end though and had some nice chats to Neil and Keith also.

Hope they have changed the poor lighting in the cabinets to this year so that people won\'t have to lean in, obstructing the view from others.
