I remember a discussion about someone who submitted a gif of his mini to CMON and I thought it\'d be cool to try this out. Anyone have tips for this sort of thing?
I\'m not sure if a gif would be much good for a photograph. It\'s great for flat colour; but the last time I did anything with gif on my illustration work the pics just looked, well, a little pixelated.
There was a painter submitted a 360 rotation of his/her mini a few years ago. Kinda neat idea but you lost the ability to get a good look at each area as it rotated.
It might be something to put up in the forums though.
GIFs have a limited colour range, not good for pictures of minis. They can only represent 256 distinct colours, so smooth blends will be completely trashed.
