Gift ideas for a new model painter

My youngest son has recently gotten into painting minis and models. He's found a brand of paint he really likes, he's been obsessively watching YouTube videos on techniques, and has upped his painting game considerably.

I'd like to get him something for Christmas to encourage him in his new passion, but I don't know anything about it. I've heard him talk about getting an airbrush, and I'd love to get him one, but I am on a budget.

Is there an airbrush system (including a compressor) that will be servicable for a beginner around the $50 range? I'm not looking for top of the line; rather, something that will work reliably and consistently, and potentially can be improved with future investments (such as if different/better nozzles can be purchased, or the compressor can be upgraded, etc.)

I'm also open to other suggestions in the $50 range for items that would make his hobby easier or more enjoyable, or expand the things he's able to do.

Any and all input would be greatly appreciated!

Finding an airbrush kit with a compressor for around $50 can be tough, but you might look at entry-level options from brands like Master Airbrush. They sometimes have deals within your budget.
Alternatively, consider getting him some quality brushes or a set of paints he likes. These can also really help enhance his painting experience without breaking the bank!

Quality paint kit (detail paints and brushes): If your son already has an airbrush or you're not buying a full kit, a quality airbrush paint set or miniature paints (like Citadel, Vallejo, or Army Painter) might be a great choice. These paints are specifically designed for use on models and miniatures, providing vibrant colors and even coverage.

A beginner airbrush kit can be had for $50, but it'll probably be without a compressor. Here's a good guide. https://www.badgerairbrush.com/PDF/UltimateAirbrush101final.pdf
There are some very inexpensive beginner options now that are made in China - https://www.amazon.com/COSVII-Airbr...g/dp/B0BJKNKHMQ/ref=sr_1_13?crid=S6HVZRE0JKM7 that may be a good place to find his groove before committing to a more expensive system.
Thanks for the pdf file and for the link. I checked the price for Airbrush kit with air compressor and it's price is $69. lol
