Ahem, RADAR wasn\'t invented at MIT Vike, it was invented in the U.K. by Robert Waston-Watt and his team in 1934.

Just to keep this thread on track.

Yes, Vike, shame on you for misleading us.:innocent:

Okay, you made me look it up. Radar was \"invented\" by Watson-Watt, based on some stuff invented by a German whose name I forget, who was trying to harness the discoveries of Hertz.

MIT was where RADAR was refined and produced for the first time for use in airplanes - though it was a joint US/British venture. 1/2 of all the radar systems used during WWII were designed at MIT\'s building 20.

I think I found a part of it!

Check out 40°47\'42.96\"N, 114°01\'02.49\"E

Or it could just be a really weird looking river... I have trouble telling....

About that darn Wall: I too have been looking for it and went almost mad. I have found no trace of it. :( It has vanished from the face of the planet. Or it\'s much smaller than we assume.
@Duende I assume that is a strange looking river, since its in the valley. The Wall must be atop the Mountaincrests (Better defensive position). See Pic.

To help find it this is a wikientry:

\"The Ming Dynasty Great Wall starts on the eastern end at Shanhai Pass, near Qinhuangdao, in Hebei Province, next to Bohai Gulf. Spanning nine provinces and 100 counties, the final 500 kilometers have all but turned to rubble, and today it ends on the western end at the historic site of Jiayu Pass, located in northwest Gansu Province at the limit of the Gobi Desert and the oases of the Silk Road.\"

I did find Qinhuangdao but no wall anywhere... Oh and I din\'t find the Gobi desert, anyone know where that thing is?

great wall...

I found some things that snake through the mountains that didn\'t quite look like rivers, but I don\'t thing they were it either...

If the pics aren\'t hi-res, we probably won\'t be able to make it out.

Still searching though...

Talking about China. I was checking China last night with my parents and we actually managed to find the little village (now a fairly big town) where they came form. Lo-res unfortunately.

Edit: Had a look for the great wall of China (or the different sectios of it) but couldn\'t identify it with the lack of details. So I Googled it and came up with this: http://perljam.net/google-satellite-maps/id/3375/China/Beijing/Great_Wall_of_China
Shame there are not enough details to see if it\'s walls or roads on this height.

I also tried to check the endpoints of the different walls but couldn\'t identify the wall itself. :(

I know no one has posted here in a while, but I just saw the most amazing picture and wondered why I hadn\'t thought to look at it before.

Anyway, take a look at
