GW Germany is having it\'s tenth anniversary, and they pulled out a fantastic limited ed. mini! I just hope it can be bought outside of Germany and E-Bay!

Being cynical I have to say that it\'s a \"re-work\" of a mini, which is a few years old.

Very cynical :D

But, I\'ll put it to you this way, I didn\'t buy the original, though I played Undivided, but I will (if I have the chance) by this edition of it, just for the joy of painting it.

Hmm, besides the disc and the Tzeentchian robes (which are positioned completely differently), it\'s in fact very different!

Yep, I think so too. Same sort of pose as the chaos sorcerer. Looks like a lot of swapping parts and stuff. It looks good, though I probably would like a photo that isn\'t just of the box.

You imply there is something wrong with reworking minis. I have some 1970s minis that I\'ve recently seen redone, and they are far far better now than the ugly hunks I have, but are clearly the same mini.

Superb! That\'d be one of the very few chaos minis I wouldn\'t mind putting my dirty little paws on. That staff just cries out for some rainbow inking...

wrong one

that\'s not the mini.

It\'s based on the limited tzeentch mage, that had a bird head.

That one.

Not exact of course, but closer pose but still alot of changes.

Regardless of whether it a rework or not, I think it\'s really cool. I love all the glyphs on the robes. The face is especially nice (lots o character in it)

This wasn\'t done by rapid-prototyping/3D-printing was it? I know GW does some larger plastics that way, but 28mm minis too?

Its one of those minis that initially looks quite familiar (ie like a reworking) but when you take a close look, it is quite different. Comparing the pics, even the flames on the back of the disc look different.

I really like the sculpt of the head, the robes and the staff. The inscription on the disc is cool too. Not so convinced on the tentacle/flame part where the sorcerors legs should be, or the hand holding the staff, but thats all easily fixed.

Of course, it helps that I play Tzeentch for both 40k and Warhammer. Hope it makes its way over here at some point. GW Spec Ed models have a habit of cropping up at other special events now and again

That is a nice mini. I also hope it can be bought outside Germany I would love to add that one to my Chaos army.

It is sweet ... As for been a rework well at the end of the day it is a GW chaos sorceror so it is bound to look similar to a previous GW sorceror.
How come the europeans get the cool chaos special editions while we get crumby elfs and marines....damn them all. Very nice mini and will definitely have to try get my hands on one. Any of our german members fancy being a supplier..???

it\'s nice and all, but i\'m jumping on the cynic bandwagon. This mini looks extremely familiar but I cant place my finger on it. It\'s not from the above posts (just for clarity) :)

*edit* Crumby Marines?! Why I oughta... :p I like the Sicarius model. There was a love/hate thing going on for a while - but now iv\'e seen what can be done with it i\'m quite chuffed I bought it anyway :)
