Heavy Sentinel for my Cadian army (conversion)

Hello folx,

finally my \"big, fat greek wedd...\", errr I ment my \"big, fat Senti-Mech\" is finished. It\'s literally a \"heavy\" conversion of a GW-Sentinel. Many said it would now look like a Battle-Mech from \"Mechwarrior\". Well, I count this as a compliment... ;)

It\'s painted in the same color-scheme as the rest of my cadian army. Hope you like it, comments (and VOTINGS ;) ) welcome! :)

Excellent, I\'ve already seen him, commented & voted.

A couple of questions; I can see the leg armour is from the tank track protectors, but is there parts from a dreadnaught kit, and if so which bits :D

Doesn\'t look like there\'re any dread bits to me. It goes Sentinel cockpit -> Chimera turret -> parts of old \"armoured\" Leman Russ hatch. The whole thing is beautifully simple actually.

Well done. One of the more original vehicle conversions in a while. Well painted and just great looking. Thanks for posting.

Thanks...

Thanks for the feedback guys! :)
It shows that I made the right decisions while converting... ;)

@dunesea
Very well spotted! ;)
The lasers are from the sideturrets of a SM Predator und the \"batteries\" on top are from the standard Sentinel. Some bits are \"custom-made\" from plasticard, but mainly there are bits from imperial tanks. There are no dreadnaught bits in it. The heavy bolter is from the new SM-Scout box. I think that was it, basically... ;)

It\'s very cool. Is it legal for gaming? IE, can you take two lascannons and a heavy bolter on a sentinel?

No not legal, you could use it as a \'counts as\' predator though... now theres an idea :idea:

vehicle-construction-rules

There are custom-vehicle-construction rules on the official WH40K page. I can\'t find them on the US-page only on the german. :(
With this rules you can calculate vehicle costs for customized vehicles/walkers. For this sentinel it would be around 150 point... :eek:
But I mainly paint for my vitrine so I don\'t pay much attention to the point costs... ;)
