Help! I have zombies!

I agreed to do a commission jobie.
He wants me to paint up some GW zombie pirates.

Anyone know a good way to paint zombie skin or know any tutorials on rotting flesh?

personaly id do bronzed flesh blendedd to rotting flesh (GW colours) mayb some reddened pallid flesh in some spots... or what is ever closest as i think they got rid of pallid flesh

Pirate Zombies

If you are doing zombies you could use loads of skin tones.

Yellowish - would be first stage of decomposing

Greenish - Later stage of decomposing

Purplish - Someone strangled, sufficated

Blueish - someone drowned

If they are pirates I would go more towards the blueish colour

There\'s a few tutorials on the GW hobby site. Not the greatest reference but some of it isnt too bad. Only thing I can think of off the top of my head.

Gross out contest, no real tutorials, just a couple pics of painted conversions.

paint zombies is quite simple actually:

Have you ever painted orks? Ok then immagine these zombies as some sick orks, each with a different tone of skin (depending on the state of putrefaction).

To make them look more dead, mix to the greens some dwarf flesh and bubbonic brown and experiment mixing the colours in different proporsions. You can paint some of them as humans as well (normal skin=fresh recruits)

The problem with that is it takes times to make a zombie. So, they aren\'t too fresh.
