Help with some Old Chaos Space Marines

I have 2 old chaos marine figures I bought back when I bought my beakies. (I intended them for a diorama which might still happen some day:D)
Thing is I have never had anything to do with 40K chaos and don\'t know anyone who plays, so I\'m kind of at a loss what to do with them. Browsing here for ideas didn\'t help because there is very little in the 40k Chaos marines on this site.
I wanted to know which god, if any, they are for, and if I should follow a particular scheme. I started one years ago in metalic purple with pink and red and bone highlights, but now pulling him out of the box realize that he\'s butt ugly.
If anyone knows something about the old figs and would like to give me tips, I\'d be happy to send a photo, but I don\'t want to post unfinished stuff here.
Thanks.

Are we talking the late 80\'s Chaos Renegade (Chaos marines) figures?

If so, I think the vast majority were pretty universal in their design (useful for any of the 4 chaos powers). Quite a few were Slaaneshi or khornate though is style. A few Nurgle and Tzeentch marines were released as well.

Slaanesh would be pastel colours, Khorne would use reds, black and brass. Nurgle utilise various neuttral shades of green and brown, whilst Tzeentch uses bright colours.

It might take a little time but you will probably be able to find your figures in the Stuff of Legends archives. I suggest starting with the 1991 catalog. It\'s the first one with a real selection of chaos renegades.

Thanks!

Imp, thanks for the tip to the 1991 catalog. I found them.
One is listed as Khorne renegade \"Skull Head\" and the other is listed as Chaos renegade \"Bolter 8\".

They had some really impressive stuff in that catalog, and I\'ve never seen any of it in person, like the Tzeentch guy with displaced head or the fungus body ones.

Yeah, GW has made alot of really cool stuff over the years. Too bad most of it is totally unavailable now. <shrug>

It may be that the molds are not held in the baltimore site, but I will check with GW headquarters in UK to see if any old (1991 vintage ) are still available if anyone is interested.

If anyone is interested please add to this forum.
