My latest post and this will also be my first painted mini on e-bay that is when I can find the chaps certificate.

Good sculpt, lousy cast but I did enjoy painting it, I kept it simple. The base is the base that came with it and as such could not do alot with it.

Yup that is where the model joins and the cast was realy poor around that part so even with the use of green stuff it did not come out as I hoped but there you go you live and learn.

I like him.

That being said, he seems almost \'too\' plain actually. It\'s probably because he is such a large fella and all that skin but it seems like it just needs something more.

Blood? Tattoos? Combination?

Maybe if he had one of the two up above, or perhaps if he had a mailed glove or a shoulder piece to break up all the skin. Of course, I know it didn\'t come that way and you worked with what you had.

Not your best, but a good solid job!

FF I tried to keep him as close to the comic character as possible hence no tattoos or armour as that is how he is depicted in the WD strips as well as his own comic.
My experiments with blood have not been succesful so I veered away from that for fear of making a mess but if I can come up with a suitable recipe for GW colours thne I may give it a go.

I think the skin looks a little flat, I would put one maybe two more highlights on it. That would make it really \'sing\', other than that, he looks fab!

I slightly agree with Donga....mostly because he scares the Bejesus outta of me, but the skin is a bit flat.

I have never really cared for Thrudd. He just looks so, odd. Damn funny though!

The whole mini is painted so nice and clean though, definately a Tidoco2222 trademark. Good work Tim and good luck on the auction. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come. I\'ll be on the lookout for future auctions!!

Thanks guys it seems as though the skin does need some more I will possibly risk another highlight or two. Still it is on its way to e-bay and I don\'t want to put too much more time into it. Thanks again.

Very nice work! The Thrud comic was one of the highlights of WD for me back in the day. I guess I need to spend a little less time trying to look like Thrud, and a little time painting him up...
