awwww thats such a lovely story, so lovely to see it from both perspectives too. i love reading stories like that, its always such a feelgood factor.

hmm you asked for stories of how people met their true love... well my own story of true love and my first kiss is almost surreal...and i swear this is all true
i fell in love with a knight in shining armour (well....it was shining up until the day we started going out with each other as it was raining permenantly and the armour had started to rust lol)
i had never had any relationship before, i had got to 21 and i was getting badly depressed as nothing seemed to be going right in my life. anyway for my birthday i went to an event at Archeolink which is a prehistory park near us and they had some knights from the medieval realm re-enacting group there. i saw this gorgeous guy who looked very miserable but he was my own age and had hair longer then me (big bonus that)
i decided to join the group but as he lived about 200 miles down south he didnt go to the training nights. we met each other again a few months later at one of the events and his brother got my msn address which he got later and we began to talk over msn. we fell for each other prety quickly and by Lanark medieval festival he had asked me for the first dance.
i got there at 10:30pm so it was too late for the first dance but he was stood waiting on the side of the road at the entrance to the camping ground in the pitch black darkness and the rain.
He draped his cloak over my shoulders and helped me set up my tent then we went to sit around the fire in the medieval tent section and he cuddled up to me as i drank from my tankard of cider listening to the knights and ladies singing songs around the camp fire under the shelter tent. It was there he kissed me, my first ever kiss. The warmth of the fire was on our faces and the rain was on our backs but it was one of the most surreal and happiest moments of my life.
apart from the times when hes had to be at home weve been inseperable ever since and we are unofficially engaged now

even more of a bonus is that not only is he a knight with a full set of armour/swords and a longbow hes got a 7000-8000 point warhammer undead army as well as an Eldar army so i have access to an amazing bits box now lol.

And at least you understand the whole falling for each other over correspondance, long distance portion of relationships.

A few people have been very quick to judge when I\'ve told them that Aaron and I already have plans to spend the rest of our lives together. They judge because it seems quick and how could we possibly know each other . . . but when you talk to someone every day over email and the phone for two hours a night for 3+ months straight you learn a TON about each other.

To be honest with you Meg, I think that it\'s lest the relationship and more the distance. Just being in physical distance has a lot going for it that a email or a phone call just can\'t compete with. A hug or a kiss from a loved one when you need it, or not, The scent or a sound, a sigh or a touch of a lover are hard to send over a phone line (not sure if cable is any better )
So let\'s just say that We\'re rooting for the both of you. Minis have been sacrificed to Aphrodite\'s second cousin, Kim (Godess of LDR) and Gary (God of Geekdom) that everything works out and we get to hear of a storybook ending. But having been down that road, we know where the potholes are, and damn it if they didn\'t rip the transmission out from under us. So be careful.........
