Huntsman Of Vile Tis

Hi all, this is the first mini in a while by me to actually get finished. I have had a couple of health issues that have kept my painting to a minimum, thankfully now though I am on the mend. Sorry to the Rackham painters that there is no nmm on this mini but at this scale I am just not good enough at it to do it justice.

I hope you like it, the plinth is not fixed to the mini I just wanted to see what it looked like mounted on one and also I intend to use this for gaming too.

If you would like to vote then you can find him HERE

Thanks in advance Tim.

Really nice work Tim. Great metals as usual! I like the red too, very vivid!

One thing that really lets it down (minor area though), is the edge of the base, it seems the paint went on a bit thick. It seems quite common, even on well painted minis like this for the base to appear rushed, which is shame when the time taken on the figure itself is extensive :(

Thanks the base edge is like that even after several sandings, the base is resin and it was fairly rough to start, I have snded it a few times to try and smooth it better, but that is about as good as I can get it, the actual painting of it was done with very thin Chaos Black several coats of so it is not thick paint but a roughish edge.

Nice work Tid. It\'s not quite to the level that you usually produce but the colours are very rich, and it is refreshing to see a nnmm version of this mini. I agree with what has been said about the base. I wouldn\'t normally notice what goes on down at that level but it really jumps out at the viewer straight away, pretty hard to miss. 9/10, ignoring the base sides.

hmm

The metallic work i think looks good on rackham figures, but I find that in this piece, when compared to your Orc guy (the one Allan C sculpted), this one isn\'t as good.

probably due to time..

I agree, that the red looks awesome though.

Id have to agree with the above, your metals are always outstanding. Nice color selection as well. Did the vote thing.

No problem old-bean. With metallics this good, you don\'t need NMM:D
